365 Creativity Method

INTRODUCTION
English translation pending.
CORE DEFINITION
In the 365 method, three or more participants each write six ideas within five minutes, then pass their sheet to a neighbour, who reads what is there and adds or develops further ideas. The sheets circulate through five rounds, so each idea passes through several hands and accumulates contributions. Because everything is written rather than spoken, every participant contributes equally and the discussion cannot be dominated by the most vocal person.
SCAFFOLDING EFFECT
Reduce cognitive load
- Write instead of talk: use written rounds so everyone contributes at the same rate. - Build on the sheet: require each round to develop the ideas already written down. - Iterate to depth: run several passes so ideas accumulate contributions rather than restarting.
Anchor fast decisions
Speaking in a group is serial, so whoever talks first and most sets the frame and quieter participants lose the floor. Writing in parallel removes that bottleneck and gives everyone the same airtime. Successive rounds then let each idea be extended by several minds, which produces combinations no single participant would have reached alone.
