CORE DEFINITION

'We know more than we can tell.' Knowledge that cannot be clearly expressed in words and can only be transmitted through personal practice and master-apprentice imitation (e.g., riding a bike, appreciation, intuition). Scaffolding role: an area that AI finds hard to replace. Explicit knowledge (book knowledge) is easily learned by AI, but tacit knowledge is humanity's last fortress.
