Sales Funnel
Version 1.0.0 · Updated 2026-07-30
CORE DEFINITION
A model describing the entire process from potential customers becoming aware of a product to ultimately making a purchase (Awareness -> Interest -> Desire -> Action). The number of people decreases at each stage, forming a funnel shape.
SCAFFOLDING EFFECT
Reduce cognitive load
Diagnose conversion bottlenecks. If final sales are low, check which stage of the funnel is blocked: is it insufficient exposure (funnel mouth too small), or is it high price causing loss of interest (stuck in the middle)?
Anchor fast decisions
Divide the customer journey from awareness to purchase into several progressively narrowing stages, with a portion of people dropping off at each stage, forming a funnel shape.
MINIMUM ACTION
