Review bombing is an internet phenomenon where a large group of people leave negative reviews on websites with user review systems for a product (such as video games or movies) to damage its sales or reputation. This can happen when players are dissatisfied with the product's content and want to draw more attention to its issues. For example, if a video game has numerous bugs that the company fails to fix promptly, and players cannot resolve the issue through other communication channels, they may start leaving a large number of negative reviews on review sites to force the company to notice. On the other hand, sometimes the cause of review bombing is not directly related to the product's content, or even unrelated to the product itself, and may involve coercion or trolling.
