Instead of rushing to build a product, first identify the assumption in the business model that is most likely to cause failure, and validate it with minimal cost. Scaffolding role: precise pitfall avoidance. MVP often still does too much. RAT requires you to only validate 'are users willing to pay?' or 'is the technology feasible?'.
