CORE DEFINITION

The accumulation of ideas in your mind that you want to do but haven't done yet. These unexecuted ideas are not assets but debts, occupying your mental RAM and generating anxiety and cognitive load.

SCAFFOLDING EFFECT

psychology

Reduce cognitive load

Idea clearing. Ideas are cheap; execution is the asset. Periodically conduct an 'idea bankruptcy' liquidation: either execute immediately or delete completely (declare bankruptcy). Don't let them idle in the background consuming energy.

"Idea Debt" is a concept popularized by the creative community. Unexecuted ideas occupy working memory, generating psychological burden and a false sense of 'completion'. The mechanism is 'cognitive load'—unresolved thoughts continuously consume attentional resources (mental RAM).
