Sprint Review
Updated 2026-08-10
INTRODUCTION
English translation pending.
CORE DEFINITION
The sprint review is the meeting at the end of a sprint where the team demonstrates the completed, deliverable increment to stakeholders, collects real feedback, and folds it back into the product backlog and the next priorities. It replaces building behind closed doors until the very end with regular exposure and early correction, so a wrong turn is caught in weeks rather than months.
SCAFFOLDING EFFECT
Reduce cognitive load
- Show working increments: demonstrate what actually runs instead of a status report - Harvest real feedback: ask stakeholders what they see and what they would change - Fold it back in: let the feedback reorder the product backlog and the next priorities
Anchor fast decisions
Working software is evidence while a report is assertion, so demonstrating the real increment forces stakeholders to react to the thing rather than to a description of it. Feedback arrives while the direction can still be cheaply changed, and the short interval between demonstrations caps the cost of any wrong assumption.
