INTRODUCTION

English translation pending.

CORE DEFINITION

The U-shaped dialogue structure traces a conversational path with three movements. Suspending is the descent, where judgment is paused and listening opens. Presencing is the bottom, where real feelings and concerns are voiced. Crystallizing is the ascent, where new possibility emerges together. Moving from surface opinion to deep feeling to new possibility, the structure is a path map for deep dialogue that stops conversation from staying on the surface in argument and instead leads it into deep connection and the emergence of collective wisdom.

SCAFFOLDING EFFECT

psychology

Reduce cognitive load

- Suspend judgment first: stop scoring points and simply listen on the way down. - Reach the real concern: voice the genuine feeling at the bottom, not the polished position. - Climb toward the new: co-design the solution only after touching bottom.

anchor

Anchor fast decisions

The dialogue descends and then rises along a U. Suspending judgment and opening listening carry it down, touching the deep feeling and shared meaning brings it to the bottom, and crystallizing new possibility brings it back up, which avoids staying stuck in surface argument and lets collective wisdom emerge.
