CORE
Version 1.0.0 · Updated 2026-07-30
CORE DEFINITION
A four-step structured reflection framework: C (Concrete experience): specific experience - describe what happened; O (Observation & Reflection): observe and reflect - what did you notice, what feelings arose; R (Relating to theory): connect to theory - relate to existing knowledge or theories; E (Experimentation): experimental application - what will you do differently next time. Scaffolding role: integrates theory and practice, deepening learning. The CORE framework guides learners not only to stay at the experiential level, but to deepen understanding by connecting to theory, and to transform insights into actionable plans.
SCAFFOLDING EFFECT
Reduce cognitive load
Integrates theory and practice, deepening learning. The CORE framework guides learners not only to stay at the experiential level, but to deepen understanding by connecting to theory, and to transform insights into actionable plans.
Anchor fast decisions
Based on 'experience-theory-experimentation'. Concrete experience → observation and reflection → relating to theory → experimentation and application, deepening learning and transforming into action.
