CORE DEFINITION
The COIN feedback model is a four-stage personal feedback method. This model helps feedback providers design information and provides them with a best-practice process. The four steps: COIN stands for Context, Observation, Impact, and Next steps: - Context: the situation, event, or issue you want to discuss - Observation: a specific, factual description of what happened - Impact: explaining the effect of the behavior on others, the team, or the business - Next steps: mutually agree on improvement actions.
