CORE DEFINITION
Oppression is not one-dimensional. A person's identities (race, gender, class) are interwoven. The discrimination faced by Black women is not a simple addition of "Black discrimination + female discrimination," but a unique, complex systemic oppression.

Reduce cognitive load
- Fine-grained profiling: When doing product or management work, do not use a single label (such as "post-90s" or "female") to generalize a group. Instead, see the unique needs arising from the intersection of multiple labels (e.g., "small-town swot" = intersection of region + education + class).
Anchor fast decisions
Identity dimensions (race / gender / class, etc.) interweave rather than simply add up, producing unique and more complex systemic situations; a single-dimensional perspective will miss the real experience after intersection.
