Originated from a North Sea oil rig accident. When a drilling platform catches fire, workers have only two choices: stay on the platform and be burned to death, or jump into the icy sea. Normally, jumping into the sea would be crazy, but in the face of the fire, jumping becomes a rational survival choice.
